The night is a pallid gray blue that descends from the sky blurring the lines of cars, buildings and trees. The leaves of the trees were stained black and swayed in the clear and chilled breeze. Shadows twisted and rolled on the shining black pavement.
My best friend was lying on the ground a few inches from me. Her face was pointed toward the sky and the millions of stars littering the night.
With no words, we traversed the chaos, bullshit and joy that exploded from our lives finding solace on a desolate road with sporadic beats pulsing from our iPods.
