As we go on
We remember
All the times we
Had together
And as our lives change
From whatever
We will still be
Friends Forever... Graduation by Vitamin C

The first time this song really got to me was in the car when I was on my way home from school, a couple of weeks before fifth grade graduation. I remember it coming on Radio Disney and telling my mom to raise the volume. As I listened to the words that played, I felt a sense of sadness come over me, the tingle throughout my body and just like that I started to cry.

This song brings back unforgettable memories of my childhood from fifth grade to twelve. Whenever I listen to it, I envision my friends and I in gowns and hats from graduation, late night phone calls with my best friends till the am, picture taking that make memories last longer, sleepovers, water balloon fights, snowball fights, snowmen, hot chocolate, and so much more. Songs always have a way of bringing back old memories, especially this one.

As I listen to this song, all I want to do is relive the moment, relive my childhood. I look back and realize how much fun my childhood was. I cherish it so much more and now.. When people would tell me to stay young and enjoy my life as much as possible, all I wanted to be was older. Now I understand their reasoning.

Now that I'm older, my feelings towards this song are still present. I still get the same feeling as if I'm still a young girl. Thinking about the future, friends lost and friends gained, lives changing, it has all changed me to become the person who I am now. I know it sounds cliché, but it's brings a good point.

I keep thinking times will never change
Keep on thinking things will always be the same
But when we leave this year we won't be coming back
No more hanging out cause we're on a different track
And if you got something that you need to say
You better say it right now cause you don't have another day
Cause we're moving on and we can't slow down
These memories are playing like a film without sound... Graduation by Vitamin C

Like the song says, it's not goodbye, but it's a time to fly. Now that I'm older, I realize I have to live in the moment and do everything that I say I want to do. I'm going to live my life differently now. This time I'll have to courage, I'll make the best of friends and I'll take life up on its offer to live the way I want.
